hello to my 5 loyal readers (heh, heh). i'm sorry i've been m.i.a. for the last couple of days - i was doing some "real" work at my "job" - a couple of very fun and gorgeous photo shoots that will soon grace the pages of met. home. while i was at one of the shoots, we got to talking about christmas, which is just around the corner, yay! one of my colleagues lived in scandinavia for quite awhile and she was telling us that the christmas lights there are completely out of control. she said that they put tins filled with oil lining the streets, and just light them on fire and let them burn into the night. she said it's one of the most gorgeous and terrifying things she's ever seen. i was anxious to see these lights for myself, but my quest through flickr proved fruitless. i did, however, manage to find these gorgeous images of a scandinavian christmas, via
doorsixteen's fantastic
flickr page.

i have basically come to the conclusion that i only want what i can't have. i'm jewish, and my family goes to the movies on christmas. but all i long for is a beautiful white scandinavian christmas. and of course you're all privy to my
wedding obsession, even though a wedding in my future is highly unlikely! ah well, at least i have this blog to unleash all of my irrational desires!
